Global Girl Project (GGP) Impact Report

GGP provides young women schooling and community development projects over a 5-week period in Nepal. They gain the skills, knowledge and the support necessary to return to their home countries and implement their own initiatives.  They have also launched an online “Blended Learning Leadership Initiative” that we are measuring.

In June 2019, we partnered with GGP to measure the impact that the organization has on young women from developing countries as well as their communities.

We curated quantifiable pre and post-program evaluations that measured the impact GGP had on girls’ self-perception and sense of empowerment.

We provided surveys to the girls to issue to community members who attended the projects they implemented to identify the ripple effect that the girls had in their home countries.

We consolidated and analyzed these responses to help create GGP’s first impact report, which illustrates GGP’s story, shares heart-warming anecdotes, and substantiates the profundity of GGP’s impact. We look forward to building upon this reporting structure as GGP scales.

White Dove Global Prep

We partnered with White Dove Global Prep in Kigali, Rwanda, a school dedicated to providing STEM education and advanced athletic training to girls from East Africa. Unfortunately, despite doing well on their national exams in recent years, few students had the opportunity to pursue international education.

One of the reasons for this was difficulty accessing materials to prepare for international college admissions tests (like the SAT). We discovered that the only tutoring companies in their immediate area were very expensive and the students at this modest school could not afford their exorbitant rates.

So, Ripple Effect Ventures came up with the idea to use the advanced video and screensharing program Zoom to provide instruction to the students. We’ve had remarkable success, improving average scores by over 100 points and garnering over $300,000 in scholarships at US universities for students. We cannot wait to continue with the progress that we’ve had.
